We have been awarded Russian Science Foundation (RSF) grants and are listed in St. Petersburg Leading Scientific Schools Registry
We received grants from the Russian Science Foundation (RSF), including grant for scientific groups:
-
RSF No 25-11-00319 «Research and Development of an Intelligent Gesture Recognition System for Controlling Human-Machine Interaction Interfaces»
Head: Karpov Alexey
Period: 2025-2027
This RSF project is aimed at solving the actual problem of multimodal recognition of people's cognitive disorders by analyzing their conversational speech and visual manifestations of behavior using modern methods of digital signal processing and deep machine learning. The goal of the project is to develop and research an intelligent computer system for multimodal analysis of human behavior in order to recognize cognitive disorders (in diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, dementia, depression, etc.) based on audio, video and text data to improve the efficiency and speed of non-contact diagnosis. -
RSF No 25-71-00093 «Development and Research of Methods for Speech Enhancement Using Deep Neural Networks»
Head: Ivanko Denis
Period: 2025-2027
The project aims to create and conduct a comparative analysis of deep neural networks capable of effectively suppressing noise, eliminating artifacts, and restoring speech in challenging acoustic conditions. This will contribute to the advancement of technologies in the fields of telecommunications, recording systems, and human-machine interfaces.
We also are listed in the Registry of Leading Scientific and Pedagogical Schools of St. Petersburg
The Registry is maintained by the Committee for Science and Higher Education of the Government of St. Petersburg to preserve and develop the city’s scientific schools, support the training of research and academic personnel, and enhance the global competitiveness of St. Petersburg’s science.
What this recognition means
- Official recognition of a scientific school. The decision is made by the Committee for Science and Higher Education based on an independent expert review conducted by the St. Petersburg Science Foundation.
- Confirmation of excellence and continuity. Selection considers research achievements, publication impact, participation in grant-funded projects, mentoring of young researchers, and integration of education with research.
- Inclusion in the city’s support ecosystem. The Registry is one of the tools implementing the Science & Technology Development Concept of St. Petersburg through 2030 and the “Knowledge Economy” state program, opening up opportunities to join city-level initiatives and support measures.
